Driving school knowledge test – Canada

Most states in Canada like in Toronto implement a graduated licensing system wherein new drivers get driving experience and skills gradually. There is a corresponding type of license based on the level of experience of the driver.

License applicants in Canada are required to take and pass several tests. These include a vision test, a knowledge test, and a road test. Knowledge tests, in particular, determine if one has a good understanding of road rules as well as road and traffic signs. The knowledge test also measures the license applicant’s understanding of safe operations, safe vehicle control, and other knowledge about vehicle and driving.

States in Canada have their respective driver’s handbooks and applicants taking knowledge tests are expected to study their handbook before they take a knowledge test.
